PREMIUM METALLIC ACRYLIC PAINT

We believe a finish should do more than shine it should tell a story. At iommo, we design our paints with intention from the ground pigments to the final glow so that every surface reflects care, craft, and quiet luxury.
Here's what sets our metallic paints apart:
01. 100% Pure Acrylic Resin – No Fillers
Our paints are made entirely from high-grade acrylic resin with no added fillers or volume-extending powders. This results in a richer, smoother finish with superior durability, adhesion, and depth.
02. Natural Mineral Pigments
We use pigments derived from natural minerals, chosen for their brilliance, complexity, and resistance to fading. They catch light differently offering a subtle glow and shifting tone that synthetic pigments simply can't match.
03. Non-Toxic and Safe
iommo paints are 100% non-toxic, with no lead, phthalates, or harmful chemicals. Safe to use in homes, studios, schools, and public installations without compromising professional performance.
04. Designed for Precision—Offered in 5 Sizes
We offer five size options: 60ml, 250ml, 500ml, 1L, and 2L (plus 5L on request). This means you can order exactly what your project requires no more overbuying, no more waste. Whether you're detailing a sculpture or finishing a wall, the volume fits the vision.
05. Smooth Application on Multiple Surfaces
With a creamy, highly workable texture, iommo metallics apply beautifully with brush, roller, or spray. They adhere to wood, metal, plaster, canvas, and more making them a favourite among interior designers, artists, and decorative finishers alike.
06. Conscious Packaging
Our jars and containers are made with PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled) content, reducing waste and supporting circular material use. Every aspect of iommo from pigment to packaging is considered with both craft and care.
Surface Preparation
A beautiful, long-lasting metallic finish begins with good preparation.
Remove dust, grease, dirt, loose material, and unstable old paint. Clean the surface with a suitable water-based degreaser and allow it to dry fully.
For glossy surfaces, lightly sand with approximately 220-grit sandpaper to create a key for better adhesion. Remove all sanding dust before painting.
For very smooth, highly glossy, detailed, or non-sandable surfaces, apply one or two coats of a suitable water-based primer before using iommo Metallic Paint. This improves adhesion and helps create a more even metallic finish.
When painting metal, ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from rust. Use an appropriate metal primer where required.
We always recommend testing the complete system on a small area first, especially on unusual, previously painted, highly glossy, or non-absorbent surfaces.
When should I use a primer?
Primer is recommended whenever additional adhesion, stain blocking, or surface sealing is needed.
Use a suitable primer when painting:
- Glossy laminate, melamine, thermofoil, or difficult non-absorbent surfaces
- Bare or porous wood, MDF, plaster, and highly absorbent materials
- Metal surfaces
- Surfaces with stains, knots, tannins, or previous colour bleed
- Areas where sanding is not possible or practical
For stains and wood tannins, use a suitable stain-blocking primer. For glossy or difficult surfaces, use a high-adhesion water-based primer designed for that material.
iommo Metallic Paint works beautifully over a well-prepared primed surface and will achieve its most even, refined result when the base is smooth and uniform.
Can iommo Metallic Paint be used outdoors?
iommo Metallic Paint can be used on exterior projects when the surface is correctly prepared and protected.
For outdoor use, we recommend:
- Clean and prepare the surface thoroughly.
- Apply a suitable exterior primer for the material.
- Apply two to three coats of iommo Metallic Paint, allowing each coat to dry fully.
- Finish with a high-quality exterior clear protective coat for improved long-term durability.
Avoid application in rain, high humidity, direct strong sunlight, or extreme temperatures. Outdoor performance will depend on the surface, preparation, weather exposure, and protective topcoat used.
Coverage & Application
As a guide, 1 litre covers approximately 7 m², depending on the surface texture, colour, porosity, application method, and number of coats required.
Most projects require two coats. For walls and ceilings, three to four coats may be needed to achieve an even, refined metallic finish.
iommo Metallic Paint can be applied by:
- Brush for details, texture, and decorative work
- Foam roller for a smoother, more even finish
- Spray gun for the most uniform and seamless result
For HVLP spraying with a 1.6–1.8 mm nozzle, the paint can be diluted with approximately 25–30% water, depending on the equipment and desired flow.
Always allow each coat to dry fully before applying the next.
Metallic finishes respond beautifully to light, texture, surrounding colours, and application method. For this reason, the final appearance may vary from what you see on screen.
While we make every effort to represent each iommo Metallic Paint shade as accurately as possible, we cannot guarantee that colours displayed on a monitor, phone, or tablet will perfectly match the final painted result. Screen settings, ambient lighting, surface texture, and individual colour perception can all influence how a shade appears.
For the most accurate choice, we recommend testing your selected colour before beginning your project.
You can order an A4 hand-painted sample of your chosen shade or our hand-painted iommo colour chart, presenting all 62 iommo Metallic Paint shades.
